GAME, LORE – 25.03.2026
From 27 March, we will be running a beta test for Silberheim ECG. We explain here how the beta will work and how you can gain access.
Dear soul, it’s time to prove yourself in Silberheim! As part of a two-week beta test, we’re putting our evolving card game Silberheim through its paces. Take this chance to get a sneak peek at the game before its release and give us your unfiltered thoughts. Taking part is completely free – because we benefit most from any bugs you find and the feedback you provide. It all kicks off on Friday, 27 March at 3:51 pm. You can register in advance via our Silberheim website. Join our Discord server so you don’t miss a thing. Join one of the five currently playable Silberheim factions, fight together and, with a bit of luck, win a €100 Steam voucher. We’ll explain how it all works right now!
You don’t need much to take part in the Silberheim ECG beta test: all you need to do is register for free via our Silberheim website. To do this, you’ll need to enter an access code at the start of the registration process – or you can simply click on a link that does this for you.
And where do you get the access code or link? Basically, there are many ways to gain access to the beta test. For example, you could simply try using “SH26” as the code – but be careful! Your access code also determines which faction you’ll join in Silberheim ECG. With the general “SH26” code, fate will decide which team you go into battle for. So the decision is taken out of your hands. We’ll explain which factions there are and how to join them in a moment. Once you’ve managed to enter a valid access code, you’ll be taken through a registration form. So, first of all, you’ll need to create a Silberheim account. Choose a username and decide whether you’d like to join our Discord server. You don’t actually have to join the server to take part in the beta test. However, we do recommend it, as it’s the quickest and easiest way for us to keep you up to date. You can also chat with your faction mates there and receive reminders about quests.
Once you’ve completed registration, you’ll find yourself in the members’ area of our website – within your Silberheim account. There, you’ll be able to download Silberheim ECG from 27 March at the latest. You can already take a look at the game rules, admire some artwork from your faction, and prepare for the achievements available during the beta test. Perhaps you already have an idea what the secret achievement might be?
Once you’ve downloaded Silberheim ECG, you’ll be able to log in to the game from 27 March at 3:51 pm using the same method you used on the website. And then you’re ready to go! Throw yourself into exciting scenarios or challenging PvP battles, build a deck that suits your fighting style, collect new memory fragments and, above all, have fun tearing our game apart for two weeks. We’re grateful for every bug you find and every issue you report – and we’ll fix them as quickly as possible! Bug reports can be submitted directly in-game via the settings menu. The beta test will then end on 10 April.
As mentioned, we’d now like to take a closer look at the factions you can join in the Silberheim ECG beta test.
First, however, we’d like to clarify what you can do if you’ve already registered and now wish to change your faction. We have some good news and some bad news. The bad news first: it is not possible to change factions during the beta test. The good news, however, is that this does not significantly affect your gaming experience. Your faction determines which starter deck you begin the beta test with. By playing Silberheim ECG, you earn Flux. You can exchange this for other decks and booster packs. This means that sooner or later you’ll be able to gain access to all sorts of cards (fragments) and use them regardless of their faction affiliation. Apart from that, as mentioned, your faction determines who you’ll be fighting alongside in the Battle for Isdraia. But don’t worry, they’re all very nice :)
Similar to the Silverheim Evolving Card Game alpha phase, there are five factions that test players can join: Fendiril’s Heirs, the Warrior Elite, the Skuhuks, the Streamstriders and Trandar’s Basin. Each faction has one or two leaders – various content creators with whom we are collaborating. They have announced their participation in the beta test via various posts, videos or tutorials, and have also shared their access codes. You can find the codes by following the links to the respective channels.
Taking part are:
To help you decide which faction suits you best, we’ll briefly introduce each one.
The Fenn are known for their diligence and deep connection to nature. The products of their agriculture are highly sought after and strengthen their troops. In addition, they are excellent ranged fighters and masters of hiding in the undergrowth and setting up ambushes. Their craftsmanship in construction should not be underestimated either: their walls are strong and their towers tall. The Fenn are most dangerous in the forest—as their Green Brigade repeatedly proves.
The inhabitants of Bruck are known above all for one thing: their business acumen. They know how to turn any resource to their advantage. They are also considered extremely far-sighted in their planning and are always well-informed about their enemies’ intentions. In battle, they skillfully use the strategic position of their island. The Elendar River in particular helps them make it significantly harder for attackers to advance. And if a fight seems hopeless, the enemy is simply bribed.
The Skuhuks—also known as Goblins—are divided into various tribes that rarely see eye to eye. When they are united under a single banner, they unleash remarkable synergy effects. Aside from that, the Skuhuks are defined by their speed, great willingness to make sacrifices, and sheer numbers. They are particularly fond of using wood to craft all kinds of devious, sharp objects. Their shamans, however, should not be underestimated either.
The knights and soldiers of the Warrior Elite form an almost impenetrable wall of steel when united. If given the time to assemble, they seem nearly unstoppable. They rely on metal and stone to continuously reinforce both their troops and their structures. Their cavalry and the king’s extensive spy network also demand the highest attention. The entire system, however, is built on exploitation—without it, it would not function.
The wild animals and beasts of Isdraia often appear scattered and without a plan. But anyone who threatens their habitat will quickly realize how united these creatures can become, baring their teeth as one. There is hardly a problem that cannot be solved with sharp claws or the force of a charging bento. And who needs elaborate tactics or complex planning when the raw, untamed power of the wilderness can be unleashed?
These are the five factions competing against one another in the Battle of Isdraia. We’re looking forward to a fair contest and some thrilling battles! Ultimately, one faction will prevail over the others and claim victory. And there will be a few rewards for that…
The Battle of Isdraia, which we’ve mentioned several times already and in which the various factions compete against one another, will run throughout the entire two-week beta period. By the end, one faction will emerge victorious and take the reins. To honour this faction in style, a prize draw will be held amongst the 200 most active players from that faction. There will also be an additional prize draw for everyone who didn’t win anything. We’ll be giving away ten €100 Steam vouchers in each draw, making a total of twenty. But how does your faction win, and how do you get your name in the draw? Don’t worry, with a bit of explanation, it doesn’t sound so complicated at all.
Let’s start from the beginning. How is the winning faction determined, and how can you best contribute to this? The aforementioned Flux will be decisive for a faction’s victory. You earn this by taking part in battles – specifically, through PvP battles with random matchmaking, won training matches, completed battles against friends, and upon first completing the various scenarios. In PvP battles, you’ll earn more Flux if you win the match, but even if you lose, you won’t come away empty-handed. So it’s always worth taking part in a match for your faction.
However, your faction’s victory will not depend on it collecting the most Flux overall. After all, that wouldn’t be entirely fair, as the different factions may have varying numbers of members. Instead, the average score will determine the winner. To prevent inactive members from unnecessarily dragging the average down, only players who have completed at least three games will be included in the calculation. After the two beta weeks, one faction will emerge victorious in this manner. As a reward for this achievement, we will be giving away ten €100 Steam vouchers among the 200 most active faction members. Activity is measured here by the amount of Flux you have collected individually. However, everyone else shouldn’t be left completely empty-handed either. Therefore, ten further €100 Steam vouchers will be raffled off among all those who miss out on this draw but have played at least ten games. To ensure you end up in at least one prize draw, you should therefore aim to have played ten matches in Silberheim Evolving Card Game. We’ve provided the links to the legally binding terms and conditions for both prize draws here.
Last but not least, we’d like to explain what the aim of this beta test actually is. That way, you’ll know what to pay particular attention to whilst testing – and what might not be our main focus at the moment.
Our main focus for the upcoming beta test is to test our technical resilience. We want to know how much our servers can handle and ensure they don’t crash. Compared to the last alpha, there are also a few new features in the game that are being put through their paces. These include random matchmaking for PvP battles and the scenarios. Tooltips and move history have also been added. The shop, or rather the Explore menu, has been revamped, along with the Recall menu, where you can open boosters. During the beta test, we’ll also be adding a bit more ‘Evolving’ and a new game format.
The test focuses less on card balancing. However, you’re welcome to provide feedback on this as well. You’ll also notice that a large number of cards still lack hand-drawn illustrations. We’re working flat out to release a game by launch day that no longer contains any AI placeholders. However, hundreds of artworks cannot, unfortunately, be conjured up overnight – not even the most gifted artists could manage that. If you’d like to find out more about this, please take a look at this post on our website.
You’ll be able to test the beta version of Silberheim Evolving Card Game completely free of charge. Even if you wanted to, you won’t be able to spend any money on the game or within the game. This is important to us. Because we primarily benefit from all the time you give to us and Silberheim, as well as any bugs and errors you uncover. You can report these directly in the game. Only through your relentless testing and brutally honest feedback can we make Silberheim ECG the card game you may have been waiting for. See you in Silberheim!
