From the 12th to the 14th of September, you can find us at the Landstuhl City Festival, win great prizes and donate to help sweet cats. Learn more here.
In mid-September, we’re stepping outside for a change and leaving the Beyond Worlds office behind. Why? Because the Landstuhl City Festival is taking place - and we´re part of it! Visitors can stop by our booth to chat with us, pick up some beautiful postcards, and take part in an adventurous quest with amazing rewards. We're also hosting a donation drive. All the important info can be found here.
Especially for those who live outside of Landstuhl - and that’s actually quite a few people - the Landstuhl City Festival might not ring a bell. So let’s start by giving you a quick overview. It’s a city festival, and it takes place in Landstuhl. This year, the event runs from September 12 to 14. The official opening will take place on September 12 at 6:30 PM in front of the town hall. The organization behind this year’s - and the 35th edition of the Landstuhl City Festival - is the Fördergemeinschaft Sickingenstadt Landstuhl e.V. For three days, the city center turns into a festive street fair with live music. And we’ll be part of it! You can find our booth at the Alter Markt, right at the intersection with Ludwigstraße, across from the Sickinger Würfel. Don’t worry if that sounds a bit confusing. Here’s a map to help you find your way around.
If you want to learn more about the Landstuhl City Festival, the full program, or the exact locations, if you're wondering where the wine village is or have any other burning questions, feel free to check out the official page of Sickingenstadt Landstuhl.
As mentioned before, you’ll find our booth at Alter Markt, at the intersection with Ludwigstraße, right across from the Sickinger Würfel. For three days, a 3x3 meter pavilion will be our temporary home. At our booth, you can chat with us - if you want, of course. But that’s not all: we’ll also have some exciting things prepared for you. For example, you can grab some postcards or one of our Isdraia-maps.
One of the highlights will be our “Quest.” If you successfully complete it, you’ll receive an exclusive Silberheim quest reward - and it might just be connected to our evolving card game Silberheim (surprise!). Plus, everyone who completes the quest will have a chance to enter a raffle happening at our booth on City Festival Sunday at 6 PM. Prizes include some local gift vouchers and a few artistic artifacts (we’re keeping those a secret for now). For every successful participation, we’ll also donate an extra euro to Stubentiger in Not - more about that coming up soon!
Before we get to the best part of this post - of course, the cats - we want to take a closer look at the “Quest” we’ve just touched on. What is it all about? What can you expect? Well, do you remember the Instagram post about the fragment „Verirrter Berg-Gorm“?. If not, here’s the artwork by Francesco Pizzo as a reminder.
Unfortunately, we had to realize that the backpack the Gorm is holding here is of greater importance than we initially thought. Because, unfortunately, it belonged to a messenger who was supposed to deliver important letters. But apart from a few scraps of letters, a Wolby, Penja liquor, and the rather tattered mortal remains of what once was a messenger, unfortunately, nothing else from the Gorm incident has survived. And, unfortunately, the parts of the letters that contained the recipients' names and destinations were lost in particular. So, in order to deliver these partly important messages, we urgently need help searching for them. There are a total of five letters and five addressees to identify. If you participated in the Alpha Test Phase you’re welcome to take the letter assigned to your faction. If you have no idea what we’re talking about, a roll of the dice will decide which recipient you will search for. You will visit a total of three locations in the nearby area and search for word fragments, which you’ll then need to piece together into a 'solution word.'
As part of the city festival, we've decided to launch a fundraising campaign for Stubentiger in Not e.V.. This small, nonprofit animal welfare organization based in Trippstadt helps cats in need - whether they’re unwanted, homeless, strays, or orphaned kittens left to fend for themselves. Through medical care, temporary shelter, and placement in responsible new homes, they’ve been supporting cats in the region for over five years. As absolute cat lovers, we’re excited to support this wonderful cause. That’s why you’ll find a donation box at our booth throughout all three days of the city festival. On top of that, as mentioned, we’ll donate an additional one euro for every completed quest. So taking part doesn’t just benefit you - it helps the cats of Stubentiger in Not, too. By the way, in-kind donations are also very welcome! However, we kindly ask that you deliver those directly to Stubentiger in Not, as we unfortunately don’t have the capacity to store them at our booth. You can find more information about how to donate, help, and get involved on the Stubentiger in Not website.
