BETA, NEWS, GAME – 19.08.2026
The final fragments will soon be played on the game board - the Silberheim ECG beta is coming to an end. When? Find out here.
It has been quite a while since the doors to the Silberheim ECG beta opened to the wider public. To be precise, the beta test began on March 27 - more than four months ago! After the actively supported two-week testing phase, we decided to keep the servers running and the beta playable. But eventually, the fateful day had to come when this door, too, would close.
That day will be August 24. From then on, it will be goodbye to all the fun, games, and excitement in Silberheim - for the time being. Of course, we’re not going out without a bang: one final Beta Cup will take place the weekend before, organized by our helping hands. The top three players in the tournament will have the opportunity to immortalize themselves in Silberheim ECG with a small speaking role in the tutorial. You can find out how to participate on our Discord server.
So, we have the audacity to simply take the Silberheim ECG beta away from you and shut down the servers. Pretty cheeky! But wait - we actually have a good reason. The end of this beta test also marks the beginning of an incredibly exciting and, unfortunately, very crucial time for us.
Our big move will begin over the next few weeks - but we’re not moving into a new office. Instead, Silberheim Evolving Card Game is moving to Steam. Until now, the beta has been available exclusively through the Silberheim website. All you had to do was create an account and download the beta easily and free of charge. But no matter how well that worked - and hopefully it did! - it’s coming to an end so that we can focus our full attention on Steam. After all, the version launching there this fall needs to secure our financial survival. That seems worth putting in a little effort, doesn’t it?
So, what exactly will we be doing? First, we’ll enjoy the final days of the Silberheim ECG beta as much as we can. Maybe we’ll dance around a fire or two. Perhaps we’ll even sacrifice an intern - we’ll see. On August 24, the servers will be shut down. Your accounts will be deleted as part of this process - but don’t worry: Silberheim never forgets! We’ll also need to familiarize ourselves with the ins and outs of moving to Steam and figure out exactly how everything works.
Another beta is expected to follow around mid-September - gasp! This time, however, it will be a strictly closed beta with a technical focus, and we’ll only be handing out a limited number of keys. If you’re interested, please get in touch with us on Discord - but unfortunately, we can’t guarantee a spot. The reason is that this phase will be all about putting the finishing touches on the game. That also includes testing annoying things like registration and login processes, which will require us to reset everyone’s progress over and over again. That sounds so incredibly tedious that we simply don’t want to put large numbers of you through it. So, farewell to free public access!
There is still a glimmer of hope, though. If everything goes according to plan, there will be a short but public large-scale test before the actual release. We’ll let you know more about that when the time comes, of course. There’s plenty more to do before release as well. On the one hand, we’ll naturally continue fine-tuning the game - balancing, the tutorial, sounds, new PvE content, and many more new artworks are all on the way. On the other hand, things are expected to get rather exciting for Silberheim Evolving Card Game sometime between October 19 and 26. Before the full release, you’ll also be able to play a demo! As you can see, we still have a great deal of work ahead of us - and just as much respect for everything that’s yet to come. Maybe we’re even a little scared, but please don’t tell anyone. We hope that, with your support by our side, we’ll be able to navigate it all as successfully as possible. And if you happen to feel like supporting us a little more, please consider adding Silberheim to your Steam wishlist - or encourage your friends to do the same :)
